Project description: This project had two elements - the construction of a new Gurdwara (a Sikh place of worship) - and a community facility, which is open to all. Not only is it a place of worship, but it also provides a venue for social, moral, educational and religious activities. The refurbished community centre has been extended and improved to increase the range of services and activities on offer and has become a focal point for the Sikh community in the UK.
